Zackagiris sightseeing route is clean

   Zackagiris sightseeing route the length of which is about 13 km. begins at Marcinkonys Visitors Center and winds through picturesque centers embracing ethnographic villages that have been declared ethno cultural reserves, landscape reserves, nature reserves, Zackagiris meadow and wind – swept sand Gaidziu dunes. Walking along the  Zackagiris stream bank one could find marshy land which conceal beavers cabins, and fauna and fauna inscribed in the Red Book of Lithuania. This path is usually chosen by naturalists, travellers and students who prefer active life style.
   When the stream of the tourists decreased the administration of Dzukija national park together with schoolchildren from Marcinkonys main school organized rubbish collecting assistance. On November 6th the staff together with the schoolchildren collected 20 sacks of litter.
   The children believe that next spring the path will not be littered. The staff of Dzukija national park are sure that such activities help to educate the youth not to be indifferent to the environmental problems.
